About the Authors

Alireza Nili is a Senior Lecturer in Service Science from the School of Information Systems at Queensland University of Technology (QUT). Alireza’s research focuses on understanding and improving trust in and adoption of digital services, such as AI-supported services (particularly chatbots) and the Industrial Internet of Things (IIOT), in emerging contexts. 

 Anna Wiewiora is specialising in applied research to solve practical problems with the focus on navigating competing priorities within complex work environments and projects. Anna equips leaders with the tools to transform competing strategic challenges into opportunities for innovation.

Anne Marie Halton is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Centre for Future Enterprise within QUT Business School. She holds a PhD in Organizational Behavior, with a specialization in Paradoxical Thinking.

Artemis Ching-Fang Chang is an organizational psychologist dedicated to fostering inclusive leadership for sustainable capability development across all levels. She designs structures and processes that facilitate the growth of shared identity and mental models. Her research examines intricate interactions between individuals and systems over time.

August-Wilhelm Scheer is one of the most influential researchers and entrepreneurs in the IT and software industry as well as a sought-after political advisor and public speaker. His books are among the standard works of business process management and were translated in many languages.

  Christine Legner is a Professor of Information Systems at the Faculty of Business and Economics (HEC), University of Lausanne in Switzerland and an Academic Research Fellow at the MIT Center for Information Systems Research. She is the co-founder and academic director of the Competence Center Corporate Data Quality (CC CDQ), an industry-funded research consortium and expert community.  

Danielle Duell is a pioneer and dedicated advocate of purposeful leadership and purpose-led business practices. As the founder and CEO of People With Purpose – a certified B Corporation and verified Social Enterprise – she provides strategy consulting and leadership development services to help businesses create positive social and environmental impact alongside financial success.

David M. Herold is a logistics and supply chain researcher with a focus on the mechanisms and dynamics of digital and sustainable operations. 

 Dr Erwin Fielt is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Information Systems, Queensland University of Technology, Australia. Working at the intersection of business and IT, his research and teaching focus on topics concerning strategy and innovation such as IT business value, IT governance, digital innovation and transformation, business model innovation and platform ecosystems. 

 Kevin C. Desouza is a Professor of Business, Technology and Strategy in the School of Management at the QUT Business School. He is a Nonresident Senior Fellow in the Governance Studies Program at the Brookings Institution. 

 Marek Kowalkiewicz is a Professor and Chair in Digital Economy at QUT Business School. Marek has led global innovation teams in Silicon Valley, was a Global Research Program Lead and Founding Research Manager of SAP's Machine Learning lab in Singapore, and a Research Fellow at Microsoft Research Asia.

  Shannon Colville is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Centre for Future Enterprise within QUT Business School, focusing on the relationship between trust and technology. 

Dr Tobias Pentek is the Head of Community and Innovation at the Competence Center Corporate Data Quality (CC CDQ). He collaborates with Fortune500 experts to develop innovative data management solutions. He is a data strategy consultant, a lecturer at the CDQ Data Management Academy, and a frequent speaker at data conferences.

Dr Tyge-F. Kummer is an Associate Professor in the School of Accountancy at the Queensland University of Technology. He has previously held appointments at Griffith University, Humboldt University of Berlin, ESCP Business School, European School of Management and Technology (ESMT Berlin), and Freie Universität Berlin. 

Dr. Wasana Bandara is an Associate Professor at the School of Information Systems, Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Brisbane.  An expert in Business Process Management (BPM) and digital transformation, she is known for her research on human-centric process management and has published over 140 works. 

Yancong Xie is a lecturer in Information Systems at school of AISSC, RMIT university. Yancong holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and a PhD degree in Management Information Systems. Yancong uses various research methods, with a particular interest in simulation modelling, to study technology management and information management.
