Dr. Nadine Ostern holds the Cisco Research Chair in Trusted Retail at the Centre for Future Enterprise and is a Senior Lecturer at QUT’s School of Management. She has previously served as an assistant and deputy professor at leading European universities, including the Frankfurt School of Management and Finance, Phillips-University Marburg in Germany, and Bern University of Applied Science in Switzerland.
Nadine's research focuses on designing trust, particularly at the intersection of humans and technologies, such as human-AI collaboration. Her work is frequently presented at leading international conferences in information systems and published in top journals, including Business & Information Systems Engineering and Information & Management. She also holds an editorial role at the journal Electronic Markets.
Nadine is passionate about designing technologies to improve work and life. She has collaborated with multiple organizations to translate her research into real-world opportunities for Australian businesses across the finance, retail, and healthcare industries. She regularly delivers keynotes and publishes whitepapers with Cisco on trust in technologies and the capabilities organizations need to build to become trust literate.
